Last evening's book club meeting went splendidly; kayaking proved to be quite a fun after-work activity, and during our discussion, nearly everyone ejaculated about how much they thoroughly enjoyed reading Jane Eyre. I don't know what the deuce was up with those Living Social jerks, but luckily we were able to relax and have a pleasant chat about the book despite the deck at Jack's being SUPER crowded.A few options were thrown out there for our next month's selection, and as Kyle suggested, it might be nice to meet in the middle of August, especially if we choose a shorter book. I want to read Pudd'nhead Wilson! I already read it in a class, but it's a good book and is one of the first uses of fingerprinting to solve a crime. CHA CHING!!!

ReplyDeleteI vote for Inherit the Wind, obvs, but I would be perfectly happy with Pudd'nhead Wilson. My primary concern is a shorter book because I have a huge pile of library books to work through and little time to read this month..
